To provide a cylindrical body that detachably fixes a manhole cover to a manhole frame.SOLUTION: A cylindrical body 1 is a cylinder buried in the ground, and has: a cylinder in which a through hole 20 penetrating in the radial direction is formed at one end in the axial direction; a lid 3 that is detachably attached to the one end of the cylinder, wherein the lid 3 has a hole formed in the radial direction aligned along with the through hole 20 in the radial direction with the lid 3 attached to one end; and a shaft body 4 having a shaft portion 41 inserted into the through hole 20 and the aligned hole from the radial direction of the cylinder and an attachment portion that can be detachably attached to the cylinder.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
