To provide a sanitary washing device having higher safety while allowing a user to recognize that a nozzle storage part is sterilized by sterilizing light.SOLUTION: The sanitary washing device includes an illumination part for applying sterilizing light as light having sterilizing effects to the nozzle storage part. A casing and the illumination part can emit visible light to the outside of the casing when applying the sterilizing light, allows the illumination part to apply the sterilizing light to emit the visible light to the outside of the casing when a human body detection sensor changes from a non-detection state to a detection state, and stops applying the sterilizing light from the illumination part when the non-detection state of a seating detection sensor is continued after the visible light is emitted and predetermined conditions are satisfied.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 13
【課題】ノズル収納部を除菌光で除菌していることを使用者に認識させつつ、より安全性の高い衛生洗浄装置を提供する。【解決手段】ノズル収納部に除菌作用を有する光である除菌光を照射する照光部を備え、ケーシング及び照光部は、除菌光の照射時に、ケーシングの外側に可視光を放出可能であり、人体検知センサが非検知状態から検知状態に切り替わった際に、照光部に除菌光を照射させ、ケーシングの外側に可視光を放出するとともに、可視光の放出の後、着座検知センサの非検知状態が継続され、かつ所定条件を満たした際に、照光部からの除菌光の照射を停止させることを特徴とする衛生洗浄装置である。【選択図】図１３
