To provide a pillar structure which can be used for preventing an operator performing examination or other work on a roof of a building from falling from the roof.SOLUTION: A pillar structure 10 constructed on a roof of a building comprises a pillar 3 integrally formed, an anchorage part 5 connected with a lower part of the pillar 3 and a concrete structure part 7 forming an upper surface 1a of the roof. The lower part of the pillar and the anchorage part are embedded into the concrete structure part and an upper side of the pillar projects upward from the upper surface of the roof. The anchorage part has an engaged part abutting on the concrete structure part in the direction from a lower end to an upper end of the pillar and locked with the concrete structure part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
