To provide a refractory for a continuous casting nozzle, while maintaining a thermal shock resistance improvement effect characteristic of expanded graphite at a high level, capable of improving the dispersibility upon kneading and fillability upon molding even without a spheroidizing process of expanded graphite, thus capable of improving operability and corrosion resistance.SOLUTION: A refractory for a continuous casting nozzle comprises refractory raw material and graphite refractory as main components, the graphite raw material comprises expanded graphite, and the expanded graphite has a bulk density of 0.05 to 0.3 g/cm3, the average grain size of 70 to 270 μm and a content of 2 to 20 mass%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】 膨張黒鉛が本来持つ耐熱衝撃性向上効果を高いレベルで維持しつつ、膨張黒鉛の球状化プロセスがなくても混練時の分散性及び成形時の充填性を向上させることができ、したがって、作業性や耐食性を向上させることができる連続鋳造ノズル用耐火物を提供する。【解決手段】 連続鋳造ノズル用耐火物は、耐火原料と黒鉛原料を主成分として含み、黒鉛原料は膨張黒鉛を含み、膨張黒鉛は、嵩密度が0.05〜0.3g/cm3であり、平均粒径が70〜270μmであり、含有量が2〜20質量%である。【選択図】 なし
