To provide a movable body driving device in which it is unnecessary to provide gears with different number of teeth according to a facility to be installed.SOLUTION: A movable body driving device having a motor and applying driving force of the motor to an external movable body to open and close the movable body, comprises: a first gear mechanism 21 that rotates with the rotation of the motor; a second gear mechanism 23 on which an endless chain 22 hung on the first gear mechanism 21 is hung, and that rotates together with the first gear mechanism 21; and a limit switch 24 that detects the rotation of the second gear mechanism 23, and detects that the movable body is arranged at a fully open position or a fully closed position. One or both of the first and second gear mechanisms 21, 23 are a multi-stage gear having a plurality of gears 27 to 31, 35 to 39 having different numbers of teeth.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
