To provide a foundation member for support post having a support post insertion portion adapted to a shape of a support post and capable of contributing to construction period reduction and cost reduction.SOLUTION: A foundation member for support post 100 comprises: a support post insertion portion 1 which is constituted of a cylindrical member and inside which a lower end portion of a support post is inserted; and a pair of soil pressure resistance members 2, 2 which are joined to an outer face of the support post insertion portion 1 and which face in a radial direction of the support post insertion portion 1. The soil pressure resistance member 2 includes: two side face plates 20, 20 whose one end edges are joined an outer face of the support post insertion portion 1 and which have the same shape and size; and a connection plate 21 connecting the other end edges of the side face plates 20, 20. The side face plates 20, 20 and the connection plate 21 make a substantial isosceles triangle shape.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
