MOLDING HEAT INSULATING MATERIAL AND METHOD FOR MANUFACTURING THE SAME
To provide a molding heat insulating material which can suppress degradation of inside of a heat insulating material by permeation of gas and is suitable for a high-frequency induction heating type furnace.SOLUTION: A method for manufacturing a molding heat insulating material includes: an impregnation step of impregnating at least one surface of a molding heat insulating material having a protective carbon layer composed of a carbon fiber felt formed by entangling carbon fibers and a carbonaceous material coating a surface of the carbon fibers of the carbon fiber felt with a surface coating liquid obtained by dispersion of an aggregate of a carbonaceous material and thermosetting resin particles having a softening point in a dispersion medium not dissolved with the thermosetting resin particles; a softening step of softening the thermosetting resin particles by heating to a temperature equal to or higher than the softening point, and fixing the aggregate of the carbonaceous material to the molding heat insulating material, after the impregnation step; and a baking step of carbonizing the thermosetting resin particles by baking at 500°C or higher, after the softening step.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
