To provide a technique for a multistage slide door type platform fence which can elongate an inspection cycle compared to a convention one.SOLUTION: A platform fence 2 (2L) comprises: (1) a first pinion 14 which is pivoted by a door pocket part 10, and is driven by a motor 12; (2) a first rack 34 which is provided on a first door 30, and constitutes a first drive part 91 together with the first pinion 14; (3) a second pinion 37 which is pivoted by the first door 30; (4) a second rack 16 which is fixed to the door pocket part 10, and constitutes a second drive part 92 together with the second pinion 37; and (5) a third rack 54 which is fixed to a second door 50, and constitutes a third drive part 93 together with the second pinion 37.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
