To provide a brazing filler metal for joining a metal plate and a ceramic substrate, which establishes compatibility between excellent thermal shock resistance and a small joint defect such as a void and an unjoined state, in a metal-ceramic bonding substrate, and the related art.SOLUTION: A paste-like brazing filler metal includes a vehicle, and powder that includes 0.7-2.0 mass% of titanium powder with an average particle diameter (D50) of 20 μm or less, 3-15 mass% of copper powder and silver powder as the remnant.
