To provide a refractory material that does not easily rise in temperature even when heated and has excellent fire resistance, and to provide a refractory wall material and a method for manufacturing refractory material.SOLUTION: A refractory material of the present invention comprises a molded body formed of a cured product of a mixture containing alumina cement, a material containing an oxide of silicon, and water, and in which the cured product contains strathlingite, the mass loss of the molded body when heated from 20°C to 200°C is 6 mass% or more based on the mass at 20°C and the mass loss when heated to 200 to 400°C is 6 mass% or more based on the mass at 20°C.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】加熱されたとしても温度上昇が起こりにくく、優れた耐火性を有する耐火材、耐火壁材及び耐火材の製造方法を提供する。【解決手段】本発明の耐火材は、アルミナセメントと、ケイ素の酸化物を含む材料と、水とを含む混合物の硬化物で形成される成型体を備え、前記硬化物はストラトリンガイトを含有し、前記成型体は、20℃から200℃まで加熱したときの質量減が、20℃のときの質量を基準として6質量%以上であり、かつ、200〜400℃まで加熱したときの質量減が、20℃のときの質量を基準として6質量%以上である。【選択図】なし
