To provide a base which enables an antenna unit to be easily and strongly mounted on a counterweight.SOLUTION: A base is mounted on a counterweight in an upper turning body of a construction machine. The base includes a substrate, a pedestal and a support plate. The substrate is mounted on an end on a vertical upper side of a recess recessed toward a rear side of the upper turning body of the counterweight, and blocks an opening opened toward the vertical upper side in the recess. The pedestal is formed on a surface facing the vertical upper side of the substrate, and is installed with an antenna unit from the vertical upper side. The support plate projects to the vertical lower side from the substrate, and is connected to a bracket projecting to a front side of the upper turning body from the bottom part of the recess in the counterweight in a state of being restrained to the bracket.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
