To provide a fence mounting structure that can improve the mounting workability for fence columns.SOLUTION: In a fence mounting structure 10, a connecting metal fitting 11 is attached to a gate column 41, and a holding tool 21 for holding a vertical wire member 31 of a mesh panel 33 is connected to the connecting metal fitting 11. The holding tool 21 has a holding groove portion 22 that comes into contact with the vertical wire member 31, and a fastening portion 23 that is fastened to the connecting metal fitting 11 by a screw 7. The holding groove portion 22 is configured to rotatably hold the vertical wire member 31 around the axis in the non-tightened state of the fastening portion 23, while holding the vertical wire member 31 non-rotatably in the tightened state of the fastening portion 23.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
