To provide an operation detection device capable of suppressing water entering a mounted member from being detected as noise by a sensor electrode.SOLUTION: An operation detection device 3 comprises: the mounted member on a vehicle body side; the sensor electrode that detects an electrostatic capacitance; and a sensor bracket 7. The sensor bracket 7 has a sensor holding part that holds the sensor electrode, and is mounted on an inside surface 6i of the mounted member. The sensor holding part is equipped with a holding piece 23 that extends from the side separated from the inside surface 6i of the mounted member towards the side approaching the inside surface 6i and holds the sensor electrode. The holding piece 23 holds the sensor electrode at a position where a shaft core of the sensor electrode is separated at least 15 mm or more from the inside surface 6i of the mounted member.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
