To prevent operating means and preventing means from interfering with a member positioned on a side of a support member.SOLUTION: A pivot hinge 10 comprises: a support member 11 that is fixed on a door 101; a pivot shaft 21 that is inserted in a shaft guide hole 12 formed in the support member 11; an elastic member 31 that energizes one shaft end of the pivot shaft 21 toward a direction protruding from one opening of the shaft guide hole 12; preventing means 41 that is inserted from the other opening of the shaft guide hole 12 and is releasably fixed on the support member 11, for preventing the pivot shaft 21 from sinking into the shaft guide hole 12 by contacting the pivot shaft 21 with the other shaft end; and operating means 51 that is extended from the other shaft end of the pivot shaft 21 toward the other opening of the shaft guide hole 12 and inserted into an insertion hole 41c formed on a central part of the preventing means 41, for moving the pivot shaft 21 in a shaft direction. The operating means 51 and the preventing means 41 are arranged on an anti-pivot shaft protruding side of the support member 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
