To provide a building with a courtyard where a user can get a visual continuity of the indoor and outdoor spaces with a window facing the courtyard sandwiched, and the user can feel the indoor and outdoor spaces as an integrated space day and night.SOLUTION: In a building with a courtyard 1 in which courtyards 21 and 22 are provided on the outdoor side, and windows 41 and 44 facing the courtyard are provided in a living room (Japanese-style room) 13 on the indoor side, the windows 41 and 44 open from the vicinity of the floor surface to the vicinity of the ceiling of the living room 13 in the height direction, and at least one side edge in the width direction opens to the vicinity of an inner wall surface 51 of the living room orthogonal to the opening surface of the window. In outer bodies 31 and 32 surrounding the courtyards 21 and 22, inner side surfaces 52 and 54 thereof are aligned on the extension line of the inner wall surface 51 of the living room 13 and erected, the inner wall surface 51 of the living room 13 and the inner side surfaces 52 and 54 of the outer bodies are divided into two in the height direction by the waist and the upper portion thereof, respectively, and a waist portion 55 in the living room 13 and a waist portion 62 of the outer bodies 31 and 32 have the same apparent height, and are finished with a wall material having a common texture.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
【課題】昼夜のいずれにおいても、中庭に面する窓を挟んだ屋内外の空間の視覚的な連続性が得られ、屋内外を一体空間として感じることのできる中庭付き建物を提供する。【解決手段】屋外側に中庭２１、２２が設けられ、屋内側の居室（和室）１３には中庭に面する窓４１、４４が設けられた中庭付き建物１において、窓４１、４４は、高さ方向において居室１３の床面近傍から天井近傍まで開口し、幅方向において少なくとも一方の側縁が窓の開口面に直交する居室の内壁面５１近傍まで開口する。中庭２１、２２を囲む外囲体３１、３２は、その内側面５２、５４を居室１３の内壁面５１の延長線上に揃えて立設され、居室１３の内壁面５１および外囲体の内側面５２、５４が、腰部とその上部とによってそれぞれ高さ方向に二分割され、居室１３内の腰部５５と外囲体３１、３２の腰部６２とが互いの見え掛りの高さを揃え、共通の質感を有する壁材で仕上げられている。【選択図】図２
