To provide a seal material support body, a seal structure comprising the seal material support body, and a seal method capable of improving seal strength in an outer peripheral gap formed between an outer peripheral face of a hatch and a skeleton.SOLUTION: A seal material support body supports a seal material for sealing an outer peripheral gap formed between an outer peripheral face of at least one hatch and a skeleton or an intermediate gap between neighboring hatches among a plurality of hatches, and comprises: a fixing portion including an installation face; and a support portion including a support face supporting the seal material. The fixing portion and the support portion are connected with each other. At the connection portion, the installation face and the support face are separated. When the installation face is extended so that the installation face and the support face cross each other, an angle formed by the support face and an extension face of the installation face at a side where the support face faces the extension face is an acute angle.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
