VEHICLE DOOR LOCK STRUCTURE
To provide a vehicle door lock structure that can prevent a vehicle door from opening upon side collision with a simple configuration.SOLUTION: A vehicle door lock structure which is configured to include: a door handle attached to a door outer panel of a vehicle door in a pivotable manner; an opening rod that moves downwardly in conjunction with a pivotal movement of the door handle to unlock the vehicle door; and a rod push-up member that has a plate-shaped inclined portion that slopes diagonally upward on the door outer panel side from a position lower than the lower end of the opening rod and that is placed in the vehicle door and fixed to a door member so that the inclined portion faces the lower end of the opening rod. The rod push-up member is fixed to the door member so that the end edge of the inclined portion on the door outer panel side is located above the lower end of the opening rod.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
