FIXING STRUCTURE AND FIXING METHOD OF RESIN PAD FOR FENDER
To provide a fixing structure and a fixing method of resin pads for fenders, which can detachably fix a resin pad onto a shock-receiving plate of a fender and can further inhibit chronological loosening of the fixing state.SOLUTION: An inner peripheral surface 6 of a pad-fixing hole 5 that passes through a resin pad 4 is designed to have a diameter-increasing part in which an inner diameter increases at a front position. The resin pad 4 is arranged on a front face 3a of a shock-receiving plate 3 with the pad-fixing hole 5 being positioned at an installation hole 3b of the shock-receiving plate 3. A fixing bolt 7 is inserted through the pad-fixing hole 5 and the installation hole 3b. A peripheral marginal part 8b around an insertion hole 8a of an elastic washer 8 through which the fixing bolt 7 is inserted is made to contact a head 7a of the fixing bolt 7 and the front face 3a of the shock-receiving plate 3 to be interposed therebetween, so as to be fixed to the shock-receiving plate 3. Said fixing arrangement causes the elastic washer 8 to elastically deform so as to cause an outer peripheral part 8c rather than the peripheral marginal part 8b to consistently press a diameter-increasing part 6a against the front face 3a of the shock-receiving plate 3 to secure the resin pad 4 onto the front face 3a of the shock-receiving plate 3.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
