To provide a drift wood capturing structure for capturing drift wood and like with a capturing body only when capturing of the drift wood is required.SOLUTION: A drift wood capturing structure according to the present invention is the capturing structure constructed in a river to capture drifting objects flowing down from an upper stream upon flooding, being provided with: a column fixed on the ground; a capturing body supported with the column; and an anchor fixing the capturing body on the ground. The column is provided with a supporting part supporting the capturing body on a side surface of the column from a lower direction, the capturing body is provided with a first rope connected with the anchor, a second rope extending along a first rope, a net body placed in a space over the first rope and the second rope, and a floating body attached on the first rope and floating on the surface. The column is placed on the supporting part. The supporting part is configured to allow the capturing body to depart from the supporting part when a water level of a river reaches a level of flooding.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
