To provide a dielectric composition and a laminate type electronic component, capable of preventing reduction of credibility by thinning a layer while achieving dielectric property.SOLUTION: There is provided a laminate type electronic component containing a body containing first and second internal electrodes arranged alternately while sandwiching a dielectric layer, and first and second external electrodes arranged to be connected to the first and second internal electrodes respectively in the body, in which the dielectric layer contains BamTiO3, a plurality of crystal particles, and a crystal particle boundary formed between neighboring crystal particles, and total of Si and Dy of the crystal particle boundary is 10 to 15 pts.wt., and a dielectric composition which is a material for the dielectric layer.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
