To provide a heat resistant member with a fitting structure in which heat is hard to transfer, and having excellent heat insulation performance and having high strength.SOLUTION: A heat resistant member 10 is made of a planar heat resistant plate 11 and a fitting tool 21 provided at at least either face of the heat resistant plate. The heat resistant plate and the fitting tool are composed of a ceramic fiber reinforced ceramic composite material made of an aggregate made of a ceramic fiber and a ceramic matrix disposed around the aggregate. The aggregate composing the heat resistant plate is made of an aggregate laminated body in which ceramic fiber sheets are laminated by plural layers. At least either face of the heat resistant plate is provided with a bottomed hole 11h, and the aggregate composing the fitting tool is made of a braiding body. The fitting tool is inserted into the bottomed hole and is made of: a flange part 21a spreading in the face direction of the heat resistant plate among the ceramic fiber sheets 11a to 11d as plural layers composing the aggregate laminated body; and a columnar or cylindrical fitting tool body extending from the flange part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
