To quickly construct a retaining wall structure in a weak ground.SOLUTION: A construction method of a retaining wall structure 1 includes steps of: driving a foundation pile 3 into a ground 102 (S11); disposing a plurality of retaining wall blocks 2 containing a retaining wall bottom portion 21 and a wall portion 22 that are in contact with a ground surface 101 and having an L-shaped cross section (S15); disposing a reinforced cage 41 in an inter-wall portion 24 which is formed between side faces 21a of the retaining wall bottom portions 21 in the neighboring retaining walls 2 and in which a head portion of the foundation pile 3 is disposed (S16); and forming a footing 4 by installing concrete so as to fill in the foundation pile 3 and the reinforced cage 41 in the inter-wall portion 24 (S17).SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
