To provide a system and a method for deploying an emergency roadside signaling device.SOLUTION: A system and a method for deploying an emergency roadside signaling device are disclosed. As one aspect, a system for an autonomous vehicle comprises: one or more signaling devices configured to visually notify other vehicles when installed on or near a roadway; and an object mounting device configured to mount the one or more signaling devices. The system further comprises: a processor; and a computer-readable memory on which a computer executable instruction is stored, and which communicates with the processor, causes the processor to determine that an autonomous vehicle is dysfunctional, and gives an instruction to the object mounting device to install the one or more signaling devices on or near a roadway.SELECTED DRAWING: None
