To provide an electrically-driven shielding device, which allows respective opening and closing operations of a plurality of shields stacked in vertical direction to be simultaneously controlled and controls motion of shields in high quality.SOLUTION: An electrically-driven shielding device enables an upper shield 6U suspended from a head box 1 and a lower shield 6L that is suspended from an intermediate rail 7U at a bottom edge of the upper shield and has a bottom rail 7L at its bottom edge to be electrically moved up and down. The electrically-driven shielding device has winding drums 51U, 51L for lifting cords 3U, 3L for moving shields up and down, motors 9U, 9L for rotating the winding drums 51U, 51L, respectively, and a controller 10 to control moving-up and -down operation of each shield by controlling driving of the motors 9U, 9L according to an operation signal. The controller 10 controls shields to move up and down at a preset lifting speed at which one shield does not reach the other shield when moving the shields in the same direction at the same time, and preferably controls the moving-up and -down operation at the same speed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
