To provide a lifting step that allows an operator to ascend and descend from a side and a rear to a loading platform.SOLUTION: There is provided a lifting step 15 which has columns 29, 30 that can be attached to and detached from a loading platform loaded on a carrier, and treads 31, 32 that are provided on the columns 29, 30 and on which the operator rests. The lifting step has: a hook 39 that allows the columns 29, 30 to be selectively attached to and detached from a gate plate that can be opened and closed on the side of the loading platform and structural members provided at the rear of the loading platform; a positioning member 45 that contacts the gate plate when the columns 29, 30 are attached to the gate plate, and positions the columns 29, 30 with respect to the gate plate; and a positioning member 44 that contacts the structural member when the columns 29, 30 are attached to the rear part of the loading platform, and positions the columns 29, 30 with respect to the loading platform.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
