To provide a dredge device capable of efficiently collecting a deposit, and a dredge method using the same.SOLUTION: A dredge device 1 includes an underwater backhoe 2, a rotation cutting part 3 mounted on an arm tip 2as of the underwater backhoe 2, a cover body 4 provided so as to cover the periphery of the rotation cutting part 3, and a suction mouse 5 provided on the cover body 4, in which the cover body 4 is constituted by a cover upper part 43 provided above the rotation cutting part 3, a cover front part 42 provided in the front of the rotation cutting part 3, a cover rear part 41 provided on the rear part of the rotation cutting part 3, cover ends 45a and 45b provided on both right and left sides of the rotation cutting part 3, and an introduction part 44 provided on the lower end of the cover rear part 41.
