To improve adhesion between a substrate and a coating layer.SOLUTION: There is provided a ceramic member comprising a substrate containing alumina and tungsten carbide, and a coating layer which is formed on the surface of the substrate and is formed of a chemical compound having a crystal structure of a NaCl type. The ceramic member is characterized in that the value of a peak intensity ratio (IA/IB) is not lower than 1.0, provided that IA is a peak intensity assigned to a (111) plane of the chemical compound, and IB is a peak intensity assigned to a (200) plane of the chemical compound, when measuring the coating layer by X-ray diffraction.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
【課題】基材と被覆層との密着性を向上する。【解決手段】セラミックス部材は、アルミナと炭化タングステンを含有する基材と、前記基材の表面に形成され、NaCl型の結晶構造を有する化合物で形成された被覆層と、を有する。セラミックス部材は、被覆層をX線回折で測定したときの、上記化合物の(111)面に帰属されるピーク強度をIAとし、上記化合物の(200)面に帰属されるピーク強度をIBとした際に、ピーク強度比(IA/IB)の値が、1.0以上であることを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
