To provide a technique for a spherical ceramic sintered body that can improve the durability of an apparatus using the ceramic sintered body.SOLUTION: In the ceramic sintered body, in which a radius is regarded as R, three line segments connecting a center and an outer surface and orthogonal to each other are regarded as a first line segment, a second line segment and a third line segment, and points on the three line segments are regarded as a first position, a second position, and a third position, at least one or more line segments of the three line segments on at least one of a first cross section including the first line segment and the second line segment, and a second cross section orthogonal to the first cross section and including the third line segment (a) satisfy 5×(3/5-A/R)≤S≤9×(10/9-A/R), where S(%) is a pore area ratio of a rectangular region at each of the three positions and A is a distance of each position from the center, and (b) in which a slope of an approximate straight line of a relationship between A and S is negative at the three positions on a coordinate plane with the distance from the center as a horizontal axis and the pore area ratio as a vertical axis.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
