To provide an automatic faucet device capable of detecting mirror-reflecting objects while suppressing false detection.SOLUTION: An automatic faucet device comprises a water discharge part, a water supply channel, an open/close valve, a transmitter that sends optical signals, a receiver that receives the reflected signals of the optical signals, and a control unit that opens/closes the open/close valve based on the amount of reflected light of the reflected signals received by the receiver. The transmitter has first and second light projection units, and a first polarizing unit that transmits light of first polarization projected from the first light projection unit and blocks light of a second polarization. The receiver has a second polarizing unit that transmits the light of second polarization among the light contained in the reflected signal and blocks the light of first polarization, and a light receiving unit that receives the light of second polarization transmitted through the second polarizing unit. The control unit opens the open/close valve when a first detection value corresponding to the amount of light received obtained by the light projection from the first light projection unit is a first threshold value or greater, and also opens the open/close valve when a second detection value corresponding to the amount of light received obtained by the light projection from the second light projection unit is a second threshold value or greater even if the first detection value is less than the first threshold value.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
