To provide a system and the like easy-to establish a communication between a mobile terminal apparatus and in-vehicle equipment using high frequency.SOLUTION: The equipment includes: a distance measurement unit that performs a series of distance measurement processing to measure the distance between the other equipment and own equipment by performing communication conforming to a first communication method; and a notification unit that makes a notification in response to an error regarding the distance measurement processing to the other equipment by a communication conforming to a second communication system different from the first communication system.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
