To reduce a gap generated between an outer diaphragm and a corner part of a square steel pipe column by a simple process.SOLUTION: A steel piece for an outer diaphragm that is provided with a straight part extending in a longitudinal direction and corresponding to the shape of a flat plate part on an outer periphery of a square steel pipe column, and a bent part adjacent to the straight part in the longitudinal direction and bendable along a corner part on the outer periphery of the square steel pipe column by forming a plurality of grooves in one direction intersecting with the longitudinal direction is provided. In a column-beam joint structure that is provided with the square steel pipe column having the flat plate part and the corner part on the outer periphery, an outer diaphragm joined to the outer periphery of the square steel pipe column, and a steel beam joined to the outer diaphragm, the column-beam joint structure is formed by the outer diaphragm which is provided with the steel piece for the outer diaphragm having the straight part joined to the flat plate part and the bent part which is bent along the corner part and joined to the corner part by forming the plurality of grooves on either a surface adjacent to the straight part and in contact with the square steel pipe column or a surface on the opposite side to the square steel pipe column.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
