To provide a soil improver capable of improving strength of improved soils (e.g., uniaxial compressive strength) and suppressing elution of heavy metals such as a hexavalent chromium compound from improved soils and a soil solidification treatment method using the soil improver.SOLUTION: A soil improver involves a cement-based solidification material and an insolubilization material involving a ferrous sulfate as a main component. The soil improver has, in the insolubilization material, a rate of magnesium in the oxide (MgO) conversion of 0.42-1.62 mass%, and a total sum of a rate of iron in the oxide (Fe2O3) conversion and a rate of sulfuric acid in SO3 conversion of 96.2 mass% or over.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】改良地盤の強度(例えば、一軸圧縮強さ)を大きくすることができ、かつ、改良地盤からの六価クロム化合物等の重金属類の溶出を抑制することができる地盤改良材、及び、該地盤改良材を用いた地盤の固化処理方法を提供する。【解決手段】セメント系固化材と、硫酸第一鉄を主成分とする不溶化材を含む地盤改良材であって、上記不溶化材中、マグネシウムの酸化物(MgO)換算の割合が0.42~1.62質量%であり、鉄の酸化物(Fe2O3)換算の割合と硫酸のSO3換算の割合の合計が96.2質量%以上である地盤改良材。【選択図】なし
