To provide a siphon drainage system having a merging portion between a vertical pipe and a riser underneath an interior passage of a building, the merging portion having a form that is not so complicated and being capable of suppressing water hitting noise.SOLUTION: A siphon drainage system 10 includes: a riser 14 disposed in a vertical direction in a collective housing 11 (a building); a horizontal pipe 24 that extends in a horizontal direction for letting drainage from water-area equipment 18 flow out; a vertical pipe 26 connected on a downstream side of the horizontal pipe 24 and extending downward; a connecting joint 12 for connecting the riser 14 and the vertical pipe 26; and a sound insulation cover 34 that covers the connecting joint 12.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
