To provide a residence of which the space to be a sloped ceiling on the upper floor can be efficiently used by providing a space below the sloped ceiling on the upper floor that can be used regardless of the amount of sunlight, and setting the floor height of the space provided below the sloped ceiling on the upper floor to be lower than the floor level.SOLUTION: The present invention discloses a residence 1 with a kitchen 213 below a sloped ceiling 21sc of the upper second floor, and the height of the floor 213f of the kitchen 213 of the residence 1 is lower than the floor level 212f of the upper second floor equipped with the kitchen 213.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 4
