To provide a technology for an automatic door device with a different mode that can reduce the frequency of unnecessary door opening due to false detection in comparison with the normal mode.SOLUTION: An automatic door device 1 according to an aspect of the present invention includes an activation sensor 4 that has a detection area made up of a plurality of detection spots and generates a detection signal D1 upon detection of a person or object, and a control unit 5 that controls an opening operation of a door 21 based on the detection signal D1. The control unit 5 can switch between a normal mode and a one-way mode in which the criteria for opening the door 21 are set more strictly than in the normal mode.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
