To provide an umbrella type pollution control device for effectively preventing pollution that occurs when placing materials such as sediment on the seabed.SOLUTION: An umbrella type pollution control device 100 for preventing pollution generated when placing materials on the seabed has a casting pipe for loading casting pipe 1, an umbrella bone fixing member 4 attached to the casting pipe 1, umbrella bones 3 extending radially from the umbrella bone fixing member 4, a pollution prevention film 2 stretched over the umbrella bone 3, and traction means for pulling the umbrella bone 3. At the time of charging the casting material, the traction means is operated to cover the tip of the casting pipe 1 with the pollution prevention film 2.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
