To provide a construction method of a headrace channel of a dam and a headrace channel of a dam allowing construction period for the headrace channel of the dam to be reduced.SOLUTION: A construction method of a headrace channel of a dam comprises: an improved soil structural body construction process of constructing an improved soil structural body 30 by piling up improved soil including solidification material along a natural ground tilting surface of a downstream of a dam body 2; a concrete block arranging process of arranging precast concrete blocks 10 in such a manner that front surfaces 10a of the concrete blocks 10 face the headrace channel area; and a concrete placing process of placing concrete with slump between the improved soil structural body 30 and rear surfaces 10b of the concrete blocks 10.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 6
