To provide a rockfall protection and avalanche prevention common fence that can efficiently absorb the energy of rockfall and is more suitable as a protective fence that has both rockfall protection and avalanche prevention functions.SOLUTION: A rockfall protection and avalanche prevention common fence 1 is provided with terminal supports 11 erected at both ends, a wire net 13 fixed to the terminal supports 11 and developed between the terminal supports 11, an intermediate support 12 arranged between the terminal supports 11, and a face material sliding holding member 14 for slidably arranging the wire net 13 between the intermediate support 12 and itself.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
