To provide a detection device which is highly durable and capable of stably detecting an open angle of a luggage compartment door and minimizing reduction in design flexibility of an area around a luggage compartment, and to provide a loading rate estimation system.SOLUTION: A detection device is provided, comprising: a recognition unit configured to acquire a captured image of a part of a luggage compartment door that is open to recognize a door equivalent portion corresponding to the luggage compartment door in the image; and a computation unit configured to compute an angle between the door equivalent portion and a reference portion as an open angle of the luggage compartment door.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
