To provide a vehicle hood lock device that improves locking performance of the hood.SOLUTION: A vehicle sub-lock device is configured including a sub-striker 10 fixed to a front hood that can be opened and closed on a vehicle, a hook-shaped secondary hook that is provided on the vehicle body so as to be swingable with respect to the sub-striker 10, and is engaged with the sub-striker 10 in a state in which the main lock device of the front hood is released to prevent the front hood from moving in the opening direction, and a guide 20 that is formed by bending a round bar and provided on a front member 10a extending in the vertical direction on the vehicle front side of the U-shaped sub-striker 10 and that guides a hook deviated forward of the vehicle from a locking area with the sub-striker 10 to the locking area when the front hood 2 is closed.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 5
