To provide a method of manufacturing a sound insulation sheet member which has a Helmholtz type projection part with superior sound insulation performance.SOLUTION: There is provided a method of manufacturing a sound insulation sheet member. The sound insulation sheet member has a sheet part and a plurality of projection parts provided on at least one surface of the sheet part, wherein the projection part internally has a space part and a hole part penetrating from a surface of the projection part to the space part. The method of manufacturing the sound insulation sheet member has a process of pouring a monomer and/or a polymer-containing composition into a metal mold having a plurality of recessed parts each having a pin part for forming the hole part.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
