To provide a steel material holding device capable of burying a steel material in soil cement formed in the ground while maintaining a vertical state.SOLUTION: The present invention comprises a base portion 11, a pair of clamping portions 12a and 12b extending downward from the base portion 11 and having a gap g of a predetermined width into which a steel material S can be inserted, a pressing member 13 that presses the steel material S inserted into the gap g against one clamping portion 12a of the pair of clamping portions 12a and 12b to hold it between the clamping portions 12a and 12b, and an exposed portion 14 that extends upward from the base portion 11 and is exposed above the ground surface when the steel material S is buried in the ground G.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
