To detect abnormality of a sensor quickly even in the case where a work machine is in operation.SOLUTION: A work support system includes: detection devices 11A, 11B, 11C held by movable parts 4, 5, 6 of a work machine 2, and for acquiring and outputting posture information of the movable parts 4, 5, 6 by a sensor; an operation detection part 24 for detecting an operation of an operator related to the movable parts 4, 5, 6 and for outputting operation information; and a calculation part 34 for generating support information for supporting the operation of the operator and notifying it to the operator, based on the posture information. The calculation part 34 detects abnormality of the sensor, based on the posture information and the operation information.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
