To provide an artificial lawn suitable for golf, in particular, a shot from rough.SOLUTION: An artificial lawn is provided with a straight main pile, a sub-pile which is crimped hair and of which the height is lower than the main pile, and a base material in which multiple columns of the main pile and/or the sub-pile are planted in the row direction, and the row of sub-pile only is disposed between the rows of adjacent main piles, space between the rows of adjacent main piles is approximately one golf ball in diameter, and the difference between the heights of the main pile and the sub-pile is approximately half to one golf ball in diameter.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
