BASE ISOLATION MECHANISM AND BASE-ISOLATED STRUCTURE
To provide an inexpensive maintenance-free passive-type base isolation mechanism having desired base isolation performance, which can prevent the shake of a base-isolated structure caused by directional external force such as wind force, and to provide the base-isolated structure equipped with the base isolation mechanism.SOLUTION: A base isolation mechanism 11 is disposed in a base isolation layer 4 formed between an upper structure 2 and a foundation structure 3 positioned below the upper structure 2, and includes a base isolation device 5 for supporting the upper structure 2 normally, whose height in a vertical direction does not change when the upper structure 2 is horizontally displaced with respect to the foundation structure 3, and a friction bearing 6 for supporting the upper structure 2 normally, which is separated from the lower part of the upper structure 2 when the upper structure 2 is displaced in a horizontal direction. The base isolation device 5 and the friction bearing 6 are disposed in parallel in the base isolation layer 4. In the friction bearing 6, the height in a vertical direction when supporting the upper structure 2 coincides substantially with the height in a vertical direction after having been separated from the upper structure 2. 【課題】安価で、風力等の方向性外力による免震構造物の揺れを防止し、かつ、メンテナンスフリーで所望の免震性能を有するパッシブ型の免震機構と該免震機構を備えた免震構造物を提供する。【解決手段】免震機構11は、上部構造体2と上部構造体2の下方に位置する基礎構造体3との間に形成される免震層4に備えられ、平時は上部構造体2を支持し、基礎構造体3に対して上部構造体2が水平変位した際に鉛直方向の高さが変化しない免震装置5と、平時は上部構造体2を支持し、上部構造体2が水平方向に変位すると上部構造体2の下部と離間する摩擦支承6と、を備え、免震装置5と摩擦支承6とは、免震層4内で並列配置され、摩擦支承6は、上部構造体2を支持時の鉛直方向の高さと、上部構造体2と離間した後の鉛直方向の高さとが略一致する。免震構造物1は、上記の免震機構11を備えていることを特徴とする。【選択図】図1
