IMPROVED STRUCTURE OF EXISTING WHARF AND CONSTRUCTION METHOD OF THE IMPROVED STRUCTURE
To provide an improved structure of an existing wharf and a construction method of the improved structure applicable even when construction on land is restricted.SOLUTION: The disclosed improved structure of an existing wharf 1 includes: a box-shaped structure 11 placed on the water bottom ground 43 at the water area side of an existing wall body 45 in an existing quay 41, which has surrounding walls 3, a top surface portion 7 provided with a water flow port 5, and multiple pile insertion holes 9; multiple piles 13 that are inserted into pile insertion holes 9 of the box-shaped structure 11 and placed in the submerged ground 43; a filling material filled in the gap between the pile insertion holes 9 and the piles 13; and a horizontal force transmission member 12 that is placed between the existing wall body 45 and the box-shaped structure 11 for transferring a horizontal force from the existing wall 45 to the box-shaped structure 11.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
