To provide a water gate opening/closing device capable of reducing the size of a speed reduction mechanism including an electric motor, improving the arrangement balance, suppressing an increase in size, and being inexpensive.SOLUTION: A water gate opening/closing device 1 comprises an electric motor 11 arranged on a speed reducer case 10 for raising and lowering a door body, and a worm gear 21 which is provided in the speed reducer case 10 and receives rotation from the electric motor 11 for raising and lowering the door body. The worm gear 21 has a self-locking function. As a result, in the water gate opening/closing device 1, the parts of the reduction mechanism (speed reducer case 10) including the electric motor 11 can be made compact, the arrangement balance can be improved, the size increase can be suppressed, and the cost can be reduced.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
