To provide a method for producing a ceramic sintered compact that can be isotropically shrunk when the compact is sintered by laser irradiation.SOLUTION: A method for producing a sintered ceramic compact includes a mixing process in which a mixed powder is obtained by mixing a ceramic powder and a carbon powder, a molding process in which the mixed powder is molded to obtain a molded body, and a sintering process in which a ceramic sintered compact is formed by irradiating the molded body with a laser beam.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
