FLOOD SPILLWAY DEVICE
To provide an emergency flood spillway device capable of stably discharging water by greatly increasing discharge capacity in the event of a great flood.SOLUTION: A flood spillway device (20) for increasing and stably discharging a large amount of surplus water from a dam lake comprises: an inflow portion (21) for inflowing the surplus water; and a discharge pipe portion (30) provided adjacent to the inflow portion (21) for discharging the surplus water. The discharge pipe portion (30) has a siphon portion (33) that exerts a siphon action at an entrance or on the way. An opening (35) connected to the atmosphere is provided in an upper portion of the siphon portion (33). The opening (35) is open from the start of the overflow until the water level rises to a certain level, and has a lid (36) which is closed when the overflow reaches the certain water level.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
