To provide a ceramic sanitary ware having low water absorption, low softening deformation, low firing shrinkage, high strength, cold crack resistance, and light weight.SOLUTION: A ceramic sanitary ware has a wrought-ground ceramic base and a glaze layer, and a portion of the base is exposed to the outside without a glaze layer. The base contains (A) anorthosite and (B) an alkali component; the amount of the alkali component is 5 to 10 wt% of the base in terms of oxide (A2O); and the closed porosity of the base is 12 to 15 vol%.SELECTED DRAWING: None
【課題】 低吸水性、低軟化変形性、低焼成収縮性、高強度、耐冷め割れ性、および軽量性を兼ね備える衛生陶器が開示されている。【解決手段】 この衛生陶器は、熔化素地質の陶器素地と釉薬層とを備え、前記素地の一部が釉薬層なしに外部に露出している衛生陶器であって、前記素地が、（Ａ）アノーサイトと、（Ｂ）アルカリ成分とを含有し、アルカリ成分の量が酸化物（Ａ２Ｏ）換算で、前記素地に対して５～１０重量％であり、前記素地の閉気孔率が１２～１５容積％とされる。【選択図】なし
